I can't single out one particular item to recommend because everything I've tried here has been exceptional! From the delicious coffee to the superb baked goods, everything is top-notch. Plus, there's a small window where you can peek at the bakers while they work their magic <3
Love the pastries!!! My partner said his croissant was the best croissant he had ever had! ⭐️ I love that there are vegan options for pastries too! Everything looks so good it's hard to choose what to have. The sandwiches look delicious so I'm keen to try those.
This bakery is absolutely amazing! They offer a wide variety of delicious treats to choose from, and the atmosphere is incredibly cozy and inviting. I tried the chai latte and the pecan pie, and both were absolutely delightful – perfectly crafted and bursting with flavor. The only thing I wish is that the place was a bit bigger to accommodate more people, but it’s definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!
We stopped by Tough Mary’s Bakehouse and tried their bacon pie along with a peppermint tea. The pie was honestly so good, at the first bite, I thought it might be a little sweet for my taste, but after a couple more bites (and especially with the tea!), the flavours felt really balanced. The atmosphere is super cozy, and I love that everything is freshly baked on the day. The staff were also really kind. Before we left, I accidentally spilled my drink in my bag 🙈 and my boyfriend asked for some blue roll to help clean it up. They didn’t let us do it ourselves and helped instead, which was so thoughtful! Overall, great experience. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their pastries, cakes, and pies! 🥧✨
I can't tell you how great the pastries are. I need to come back to try every single one. Chocolate/hazelnut pain au chocolat is unreal. The rhubarb special danish was amazing too. Fab savouries also.
After my original visit in October 2025, I know make sure to visit whenever Im in Nottingham. Wonderful variety of pastries and bakes and such friendly staff. Ambience is very quiet and relaxed. You can tell how much care is out into all their produce 💙
Popped in as walking past. Quite possibly the best salt beef sandwich I've ever had. Also amazing hot cross bun. Would have loved to try it all. Bought my son a sandwich and he rated it 10/10. Went back the next day to buy 2 more for family back home - rating it 10/10 and 9.5/10. Would recommend- Would go back (if I lived anywhere nearby probably go back far too much)
Excellent fresh and flavoursome sandwiches. We also picked up a pastry and loaf to takeaway that was also outstanding). Visited on a Saturday morning and it was heaving but queue moved quick enough. If seated as we were in the corner it can feel a little hemmed in.
Absolutely loved the coffee chiffon cake! The cream was light, the cake was moist and fluffy and the sweetness was just right. I hope chiffon cake is a regular item because it’s really good!!
We loved everything about Tough Mary's Bakehouse. A wide range of freshly baked loaves along with a fantastic selection of pastries. The biggest highlight for us was the wallnut bread -true craftmanship. The staff were welcoming. A bakery gem in Nottingham!
